Ahhh! Finally it feels like spring! We have finally had some sunshine and warm weather:-) Everything is so beautiful with the colors of spring, and the birds at my backyard feeders are certainly enjoying the wonderful weather. I have never seen so much action as I have the past few days. The Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are really enjoying hanging out. There were 10-15 of them at the feeding stations tonight. I also had three Baltimore Orioles eating grape jelly. Of course there are lots of other birds, but the grosbeaks and orioles are very unusual visitors for me.

One of my favorite things to do is spend the day with photographing wildlife with my friend Bill. He knows a lot about nature and is always up for a road trip. Thursday we decided to head over to Iowa to see if we could find any good spots to photograph birds. Things seemed a bit slow where the birds were concerned, but it was a gorgeous day to be out, and I had fantastic company. By the way, you should check out Bill’s blog; he has some great photos and does a great job documenting his outings!
