This spring my friend Bill showed me a pond at the Hennepin Canal Visitor’s Center in Sheffield, Illinois. There is a blind on the pond where we set up our tripods so that we could take photos of the wide variety of waterfowl that visit the area. It has become one of my favorite places to visit! This weekend I went out there to see what I could find. As luck would have it, I didn’t have what I needed to set up my tripod, so I didn’t hang out in the blind. I did, however, get a few photos that I thought were worth posting.
